Party Checklist – things to do

Party Checklist

The birthday party planning checklist allows a person to schedule events weeks in advance of the celebration of a new birth year for any adult or child. The birthday party planning checklist should start at least one or two before the birthday. This will allow you enough time to plan out your birthday party, plus it gives you a chance to get organized too! The person that is organizing the party should take into account the following.

If there is any special occasion that falls near or on this birthday then check if they are compatible dates with one another. Doing so may help you save some money.

6 Weeks to 1 month before

  • Make your guest list
  • Decide on theme
  • Select a location
  • Decide on budget
  • Entertainment (performer, face painting, bounce house, etc)
  • If ordering a photographer book it now

3 Week before

  • Make and send the invitation
  • Start thinking about the decoration and make a list of needed supplies
  • Ask for friends and family members to help
  • Order the Birthday cake

2 Weeks before

  • Order any rental items you will need
  • Plan all the activities
  • Buy all the decoration items needed
  • Buy the goody bag items

1 Week before

  • Call those who have not RSVP
  • Make an order for food
  • Make your party music list
  • Clean the house
  • Go grocery shopping

The day before

  • Get your clothes ready
  • Make all the decorations ready
  • Set up the activities
  • Set up tables and arrange furniture
  • Prepare the food you can in advance
  • Charge the camera and ensure it has enough memory space
  • Practice party manner with your child

Party Day
