Eid Ul Adha 2024 – Greetings, Wishes, Quotes, Images

Eid al-Adha (Bakr-Id), also known as Id-ul-Zuha or the Feast of Sacrifice, promotes both service and sacrifice. Eid is celebrated twice a year as Eid al-Adha and Eid al-Fitr. It is the second of two major holidays in Islam. Eid al-Adha is celebrated to honor and commemorate the willingness of Abraham to sacrifice his son Ishmael as per God’s order. It is celebrated on the 10th day of the 12th (Dhu al-Hijjah) and the final month in the Islamic calendar.

According to Islamic teachings, the rituals of the Hajj and the Eid al-Adha commemorate the sacrifices made by Prophet Abraham and his family in seeking the closeness and mercy of God, Almighty. It is marked by slaughtering animals to feed the poor.

Eid Ul Adha lasts for four days whereas Eid Al Fitr is one day. Eid al-Adha, the holiest and most anticipated holiday begins with morning prayers. The celebrations continue with visits to friends and family, exchange of gifts and feasts. Enjoy the harmonious festival with friends and family by sending our best wishes and greetings for Eid al-Adha.
