Shanti Mantras | Peace Prayers

Shanti Mantras | Peace Prayers

Shanti Mantras or Peace Mantras are Hindu prayers for peace and reveal great Indian cultural traditions. Our cultural thoughts, attitudes form spiritual foundations. Our spirituality mansion should be built on these basic inputs.

The origin of this peace mantra is believed to be one of the oldest scriptures of Hinduism – Brihadaranyaka Upanishad. The mantra-like many of the other ancient Sanskrit mantras send healing vibrations to all who come into contact with it. When these types of mantras are chanted, obstacles and hindrances are believed to be pacified.

Namokar mantra also known as Navkar Mantra is the most profound mantra that is universal and the most powerful. It is addressed to the divine qualities and attainments and is beyond the boundaries of religion, caste, and creed. This mantra is also called Namaskar, Maha Mantra, Anadinidhan mantra, Aparajit Mantra, or Namokar Mantra as we are bowing down. It is called maha-mantra because it doesn’t beg anything from God. It just bows to the five parmesthi without desiring anything. It doesn’t bow to any particular person but to five divine positions. The Namokar mantra is the five-fold salutation that can destroy all the sins of the chanters. It can dispel the fear of death, destruction, and despair at all times and keep the individual feel blessed and divinely protected.
