The story of Maa Chandraghanta in English

A long war between gods and asuras. The lord of the asuras was Mahishasura and Indra is the lord of the gods. Mahishasura conquered the gods and took the throne of Indra and began to rule heaven. Seeing this, all the gods got upset and everyone went to Tridev Brahma, Vishnu and Mahesh to find a solution to get out of this problem. The gods told that Mahishasura had taken away all the rights of Indra, Chandra, Surya, Vayu, and other gods and made them hostage and became the king of heaven itself. Devata told that due to the atrocities of Mahishasura, the gods are now roaming the earth and there is no place for them in heaven. Hearing this, Brahma, Vishnu, and Lord Shankar got very angry. The anger generated energy from the mouth of the three.

The energy that came out of the body of the deities also got mixed with that energy. It started spreading in ten directions. Then there was the incarnation of a goddess. Lord Shankar bestowed the trinity to Goddess and Lord Vishnu provided the chakra. Similarly, other Gods and Goddesses also decorated weapons in the hands of the Goddess. Indra also gave his Vajra and Airavat after getting down from the elephant. Surya gave his sharp and sword and gave a lion to ride. Goddess was now fully prepared for the battle with Mahishasura.

Seeing her huge form, Mahishasura understood that now his death is near. Mahishasura asked his army to attack the goddess. Teams of other demons also plunged into battle. Goddess killed the demons in one stroke. Mahishasura was killed in this war, along with other big demons, Goddess killed them. In this way, the mother saved all the Gods from the asuras.
