The Sunderkand is a poetic contribution to the heroics of Lord Hanuman. Reading the Sunderkand is considered highly auspicious as it removes afflictions and obstacles; and bestows courage and confidence in the person reading it. Rules of reciting of Sunderkand

To recite Sunderkand trace a clean place and install the statue of Hanumanji and offer flowers. After praying to Ganesh and invoking Lord Shri Ram. Sunderkand recitation should be done during Brahma Muhurta (Morning) or evening, it should not be recited in the afternoon. Sunderkand should be recited in the morning and after four o’clock in the evening. One should not get up or talk to anyone in between.
