“Bhagavad Gita explains all the essential spiritual truths: the difference between the soul and the body, the difference between the soul and the Supreme Soul (God)”.

Bhagavad Gita is a narrative framework of a dialogue between Arjun and his charioteer Lord Krishna in the war of Mahabharata. Arjuna was distracted from his duty and was overcome with worldly attachment. In spite of having the duty (dharma) of a Kshatriya (those meant to perform the role of a warrior), he was overcome with attachment (moha) for his brothers and teachers who were posing as his enemies. To remove this delusion, Lord Krishna cautioned Arjuna and said, “Remove your illusion and come to Your dharma“, he explained the meaning of war and life. Bhagavad Gita has 18 chapters with a total of 700 verses and is divided into three parts, each with 6-6 chapters.

Bhagavad Gita’s teachings were recited by Lord Krishna to Arjuna about 7000 years ago. And its specialty is that this divine knowledge is equally relevant and useful in today’s day. And it will remain relevant as long as human life exists on this earth. In Bhagwat Gita, the Bhakti and Karma Yoga routes have been elaborated. And it has also been told that by walking on these routes, every person definitely becomes a success in the supreme life. The Shrimad Bhagavad Gita is counted among our Hindu Upanishads, which are our Hindu scriptures. And in which we are told about various aspects of life and ways of living life.

The verses are written in Sanskrit so very difficult to read for some but there is a translation in many different languages helps in reading it easily. Your aim is to understand Krishna’s message in the Gita, not to intone Sanskrit correctly.
