Catriona Elisa Magnayon Gray is Miss Universe 2018. She is a television host, singer, model, stage actress, and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned as Miss Universe 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand on Sunday during the 66th annual ceremony.
Gloria Diaz was the first Filipina to bring home the title in 1969, followed shortly by Margie Moran in 1973. It would be 42 years later when Pia Wurtzbach would reclaim the crown in 2015.
Miss Philippines was crowned by reigning Miss Universe, Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa. Runners-up for the coveted title was Miss South Africa, Tamaryn Green, who placed second, and Miss Venezuela, Sthefany Gutierrez, who placed third.
