Terror in India: 26/11 Mumbai Attacks
How will India overcome Terrorism, since 9/11, there have been many acts of mass casualty terrorism in India, seven since November, 2007, alone but what we have done since than, even today after the biggest Terror strike "India's 9/11" on the nation what far we have done.
Terrorists struck India's financial hub Mumbai at 10 places on the night of Nov 26 and went on to massacre 161 Indians and 22 foreigners and injure more than 300 in the most audacious terror strike in the country.
Mumbai atacks were Pre-planned attacks on foreigners but have not recieved the attention it should have deserved. There were demonstration in Mumbai Kolkata, Chennai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, New Delhi, Noida and Jaipur. Mumbaikars tells the government "Enough is Enough",act now.
The root cause of all people suffering is mis-governance or lack of governance. The system is not amenable to correction by quick fix measures. Replacement of a minister here or there will not even begin to address the malaise.
Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, the leader of Lashkar-e-Toiba front Jamaat-ud-Dawa have been detained by Pakistan authorities but for how long will Pakistan government hold him he will be released as usual.
Jaish-e-Mohammad chief Masood Azhar has been detained twice in Pakistan, but got freed later on.
Now Amir Kasab, the father of Ajmal Amir Iman alias Ajmal Kasab the lone Pakistani terrorist arrested have admitted that he is his son,.still Pakistan is singing his old tune that New Delhi is stone-walling when it comes to information and proof about the accusations.
Pakistan has sealed the offices and detained the leaders of Jamaat-ud-Dawa after the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1267 designated the organsation as a terror organisation.
Whatever Pakistan have done till now is just because of pressure from other countries mainly US. US have asked Pakistan to take actions against LeT and its front organisation Jamaat-ud-Dawah, JeM and Al Rashid Trust.
Now we have to see how far Pakistan acts and will Pakistan do enough against terrorism.
